Meaningful names are great when you are dealing with a limited number of
files, after which they tend to get very un-meaningful. Our database of
images and document contain approx. 6,500 living files, which would be
impossible to deal with if you used descriptive names. Instead, we log
descriptive information in a database, but assign a number for the file.
After having worked this way a couple of years, you actually learn by
heart in which numbers segments certain images and files reside...
Best regards,
Mats Broberg
