Hi Lorraine,

This is usually because there are either comments or tracked changes in
the document. Word XP makes the whole page smaller when printing, and
uses the wider right margin for printing comments and changes.

You can disable this in the Print dialog. In "Print what," select
"Document" instead of "Document showing markup."

I hate to go to the well twice in the same day. I tried the Archives,
but "Word XP" returns too many hits.

I have a small document with the standard page layout and 11 point fonts
for Body Text. I printed the manual under Word 2000 and everything was
dandy. Then our SA installed Word XP. I printed the document today and
it is all "scrunched". It prints as though I made very wide margins on
the right and at the bottom, and as though the fonts are much smaller
than 11 points.

Print Preview shows the correct formatting.

The SA is still investigating, but meanwhile, I cannot print any drafts
to circulate because everyone will think the document looks stupid.

Thoughts? Thanks!
