Well, you're right ofcourse, *you* don't need to have all FM files open but
*Framemaker* opens them briefly when updating the book anyway.
However, judging from how often FM refuses to update a book because of the
its infamous "unavailable fonts" error message I find it convenient to keep
all files open when updating a book.
