For me, the STC could be a non-Internet way of bouncing ideas off my
peers, as I am a solo tech writer. It is also a place where I can enjoy
presenting the stuff I know. And, this year, it has been a place where I
learn what my peers are up to, documentation-wise--a good way to measure
myself--via the competition.
