To make a long story short, I got out of the union
and into a staff job as soon as I could possibly
manage it. I have managed to avoid being unionized
ever since.

Hi Kevin

You don't say anything about why you got out of the union in a hurry. That might be instructive in this discussion - could you say a little about it?
