RE: DIY SF Bay Area Rate Survey
Another resource to consider is salary.com. I haven't checked them
lately but they seemed to have pretty reliable information in the past.
Nice resource, but they have no Writer category.
Technical writers are listed under the job category Printing and Publishing. There are four levels listed, with reasonable job descriptions, and the salary levels for my metro area were accurate the last time I looked.
