I want to expand on my previous post, since I don't want to give the
impression that being misleading is an acceptable practice with a resume.
It's not!
What I was suggesting, Esther, is that if you're using a chronological style
of resume, then you may want to revise the employment dates from 'mm/yy'
over to 'yyyy.' If an employer wants further information, then you can
provide it in the interview This is provided that the previous employment
(being a chef) was irrelevant to what you're applying for; considering most
employers don't expect every job you've had, to be listed on a resume. Of
course you'll have to be up-front if asked more details; and the interview
is the time to give that additional information.
