Re: Error Messages: Text for the title bar
$I would like to address a related question -- what should be included in
$the title bar of the message? I haven't seen anything that directly
$addresses this question.
$
$Based on what I have seen I would like to suggest the following guidelines
$for title bars in error messages. The guidelines are in descending order.
$That is, if "1" is not relevant or possible, try guideline 2, and so on.
I think you missed a choice.
#6 No title in the title bar at all.
Consider error messages on a photocier. If the machine is out of paper, you get a little blinking light next to the words "Add Paper" or something to that effect.
If your error message dialog box is limited to something like "Printer Out Of Paper--Add Paper" or "Add Paper Toi Printer", is there any need for a title in the title bar at all?
