ve come across a possible opportunity to do some freelance proofreading and
copy editing, probably using Word 2002, which is the version I have.
I have looked for books on proofreading, copy editing, and Word 2002. I was
unable to find any that were recommended as the "gold standard."
Can any of you knowledgeable folks recommend specific titles on
proofreading,
copy editing, and/or Word 2002? Ones that perhaps you find indespensible?
Any suggestions would be warmly appreciated.
Craig
In reply to the above, do you want to learn how to use Word 2000? That
being the case, I found Microsoft's Step by Step Self Study Kit to be simple
and comprehensive. I don't know what industry you'll be freelancing in but
the Payne Consulting Group's book Word 2002 for law firms is pretty cool.
There is also a terrific web site wow-robot -at- woodyswatch -dot- com that is a must
see for anyone working intensely with Word any version.
