As much as I like having a nice, spiral-bound reference, there are some
compelling reasons to publish stuff electronically:
-- Cost: Dead trees cost money, to print and to ship.
-- Time: Preparation for printing, sorting out problems with the proofs,
printing and binding ... they all take time. It's much easier to include a
PDF on the SDK CD-ROM.
-- Cross-referencing: Personally, I like to hyperlink my cross references.
