Re: Use of Recruiters (Was RE: Is the economy improving?)
Does anyone know where I can get a list of recruiters who cover the San
Francisco Bay Area or Los Angeles, or San Diego?
First of all, I have always considered the use of recruiters to be a symbiotic relationship (symbiosis: A close, prolonged association between two or more different organisms of different species that may, but does not necessarily, benefit each member.)
It's easy to get a list of recruiters in whatever area you are in. Send out your resume a zillion times on Monster, Dice, or whatever your poison is. Then, look up agencies in the phone book, and send your resume to whatever ones you can find (Adecco Technical, Volt, Consultnet -- just look around).
If you have a good resume, the recruiters will find you. I am removing my resume from the Internet today because I have received three calls from recruiters in the last 24 hours, just as I received a perm offer from my current company!
