Sorry, Bonnie, I haven't time to inspect all five versions,
but if they're anything at all like the one you posted the
URL for, any of them would be an improvement over what
has to be one of the least appealing page designs I've
ever seen.
You done good. The minor differences visible in the
thumbnails are not really critical, in my opinion. You've
made the design serve the meaning, instead of competing
with it.
