RE: Gender roles - was coolest thing
Psychology researchers have produced countless studies on gender roles and
differences among children. Some support the theory of gender roles being
innate, others seem to go against it. It's a HUGE area, and probably beyond
the scope of this list.
Thanks. I'm familiar with the general body of literature.
I was asking about the particular study Damien referred to. It hasn't appeared in the journals I monitor---at least, not with the example he quoted. That example would be a perfect illustration for one of the major points in a presentation I'm ghostwriting (on technical training, NOT on gender roles <g>), but I need to check the details and verify the citation.
The name of the sponsoring organization, or the location of the experiment (hospital/university/even just the city), or the name of one of the principal researchers would help me do a more efficient search through the academic and medical literature. As Fiona said, it's a HUGE area of research, and browsing through 498,292 hits on Google isn't likely to get me what I need by the time I need it.
