On 9 Jan 2003, at 13:42, John Posada quoted the response of a young co-worker to the people who had wrongly blamed her for a computer error:
>
> "I told you the error wasn't my code, but you didn't believe me. The error
> is described in the Run book PDF, here's the link if you lost it: xxxx. if
> you don't know how to find the error, it's on page 94. Now LEAVE ME ALONE
> AND DO YOUR JOB!."
>
There's nothing wrong with this response, coming as it did from a
young, inexperienced worker who had been driven near to tears by
wrongful accusation(s).
True, it might have been phrased more diplomatically. But who among
us cannot remember how deeply the injustice bites when you are young
and desperate to prove yourself in some position.
And, as John said, this employee will soon learn that a subtler riposte
can be equally effective.
