Hi Nancy,
Yes, I know what you're talking about... SnagIt Studio does not have any
place to change the DPI that I have seen. However, what I have done as a
workaround is to export to a file format of my choice. Then, use the batch
conversion utility in the Catalog to change the resolution. As long as you
convert to the same DPI as used in the original capture, your size should go
right back to what it should be.
Greg and John kindly told me how to get the correct capture resolution
in SnagIt. However, here's my problem:
I get a nice 150 or 300 dpi capture and save it as a TIF. I then import
it into SnagIt Studio, add the callouts, and save it as an SSD file
(Studio's native format). I then export it to TIF, to use in my manual,
and find that Studio's reduced the resolution to 96 dpi.
What am I doing wrong? Is this the incorrect procedure to follow? I want
to use this to add callouts to graphics in a book that is being
published by a technical publisher, but if I can't get the resolution
figured out I'll go back to adding the callouts in FM.
