Chances are, they will not ask how quickly you type. If they do,
answer truthfully but try to stress that it really should not affect the
quality of your work. If they don't, I would not volunteer the
information.
Having been in various secretarial/administrative assistant types of
positions earlier in my career, I can type about 90 wpm. But really,
with the work I do now, it's not necessary. I don't know that I've ever
sat down and just typed up large amounts of copy from an existing
hand- or type-written document. As long as it is a *real* tech writing
position and not a glorified secretarial job, typing speed should not
be a big issue.
