My formal title is also Documentation Specialist and I was christened
the "Documentation Goddess" by a colleague after I revised his document
for presentation in a meeting. I had mixed feelings about this, since the
fellow was judged incompetent by his co-workers (and messed up my PC so
badly when I let him try to fix a problem that Office had to be
reinstalled; no one could figure out what he had done). If his report,
and other documents that I edited for him, had not been so well done, he
may well have been fired sooner and saved everyone a great deal of
annoyance and rework.

For some time now, my "informal" title, as evidenced by my informal
e-mail signature, has been "Documentation Goddess". My "formal" title,
of course, is "Documentation Specialist"--but who quibbles over
semantics?!
(I know, I know, tech writers quibble over semantics.)
