I agree with Andrew that if you're doing this for a regular tech writing
gig, it's unnecessary. If it's an editing gig, then maybe so.

Also, where are you getting this piece of text that you're editing? Would
you ask permission? And for that matter, would anybody cooperate? After
all, would you like something YOU wrote to be used as somebody else's
example of bad writing that needed improvement?
