Subject:Re: slogans on a resume revisited From:Maggie Pierce Secara <maggiros -at- yahoo -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Fri, 24 Jan 2003 13:22:33 -0800 (PST)
I had much the same results. I'd had something like a
"slogan" at the top of the resume before, but I went
in and made it the "Title" of the thing on Monster, so
it's what shows up in the Employer's search. Doubled
my hits pretty in a few days on Monster. No, not the
same as anoffer, or even an interview, but at least
it's being seen more often.
I should point out that re-activating (or whatever
each board's term is) whether you've made any changes
or not, also tends to make the hits jump. I try to do
it at least once a week.

Moreover, after one week, using a slogan as the
title for the resume produced four times the number
of hits on one job board than the same resume with a
more mundane title, and nine times as many on another
site.
