TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Let them review it. At best, you'll get useful feedback. At worst,
you'll get no feedback at all, but they'll feel good that you
included them in the process, they'll be educated on how much and
what kind of documentation is available, and they won't be able to
later complain about not having an opportunity to provide input.
I usually get a representative from each department to review my
work. Half do, half don't. But everyone appreciates that I asked
them, and it's good exposure for me in the rest of the company.
