The Cooper-esque (http://www.cooper.com) would be to use the fewest, most
important personas: Ideally using one. That is, producst should be
designed for the one core, main, non-pareil user. "The Inmates are Running
the Asylum" gives a solid background for the importance of personas. It
also indicates why demographics aren't persona builders. Remember: it's
not what a person IS, it's what a person DOES that counts in interaction
design.
