I like this.  I also like the ingredients before the steps thing.  What is
stopping you from doing both?  Makes it easier to gather everything you
need, then organize it by task.

As you are building your ingredient list at the top, sort it by its common,
or usual, location in a grocery store or market. For example, 

Vegetables:
	* 1 carrot, cut into 1" pieces
	* 1 celery stalk, cut into 1" pieces
	* 1 medium onion, coarsely chopped

Meat:
	*  1 5 lb leg of lamb, bone in

etc., etc.
