Hi everyone,
I am creating Online Help for an application which provides two options:
X and Y
Using X, you can perform a,b,c and d tasks and
using Y, you can perform e,f,g and h tasks.
Now, I have been asked by my PM to add notes in the help pages of option
X that performing e,f,g and h is similar to performing a,b,c and d.
Keeping this in mind, he has provided links to X option's help pages in
Y's help (Context Sensitive Help).
This has led to addition of too many notes in the entire help (Online).
I wanted to create different help pages for the Y option but have been
forbidden by my PM.
I have tried to convince him that with so many notes, a user will be
confused but he does not agree. Please suggest, should I release this
help as such or try to make some changes or if is it okay to have so
many notes in the Online Help.
