To some extent it's a matter of developing the habit of watching
yourself to try to determine what you're assuming that perhaps
should not be assumed.
I find that it helps to read other tech docs and watch myself to see
where I become annoyed that the writer made an assumption about *my*
knowledge that wasn't justified. Particular when the writer doesn't
spell out what I am expected to know.
