RE: word for "interconnected software components" ??

I forgot the most important part.
We've been asked to develop a graphical representation of the monster, for
inclusion in brochures, etc. Which rules out any of the cool, 3-D, sci-fi
ideas that immediately sprang to mind...
We have 26 separate applications, which can be combined (or not) depending
on the customer's need. Each of these apps have the option to also share
information with the others.
I know there's a term for this type of interconnected component system, but
can't for the life of me think of what it is.
