I mentioned in an earlier posting that my wife and I will be moving out of
Alaska in the near future and were looking for information about Southern Oregon. Here is what I found:
It's about a pretty as Alaska
It's a lot warmer
Unemployment is about the same
It has the same high speed Internet connections as Alaska
It has more power outages than we do
It requires the same effort and flexibility to get writing jobs
The answers I got confirmed out beliefs that Oregon offers the type of lifestyle and living conditions we are looking for. As for work...I guess I'll just have to dust off that old blazer and knock on a few doors
since the wife said my chances of becoming an exotic dancer was out of the question....sigh.
