Hi Everybody,

I think I have discovered why Helvetica was being replaced in my first
attempts at creating PS/PDF files - Helvetica isn't installed on my system!

I looked over the fonts I installed with ATM, and they were all breeds of
HelveticaRounded. I didn't actually install regular Helvetica. DOH!

Weird that FrameMaker shows Helvetica as a possible font when it is not
installed on my system. I'm not quite sure how Frame works with Fonts, but
it seems for interoperability between platforms it makes certain common
fonts available and just replaces them with another font if the real font is
not installed.

Of course this doesn't explain why Helvetica shows fine in Frame with one
printer, and then not with the other PS printer. Well, I'm going to see
about getting regular Helvetica, hopefully that will solve my problem, even
though it doesn't help me understand the weirdness between the 2 printers.

Still mystified,
Kandis
