TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Only after a "franks n' beans" lunch, I'm afraid to say.
That said though, I saw an interesting book in a friend of mine's office the
other day (he's a child psychologist). I don't recall the exact title, but
the book was geared toward a fairly young audience and dealt with the
understanding and proper use of flatulents. My friend got a giggle after he
caught my eye wandering toward the book, and told me the book must have been
written by a technical writer. I asked why, and he flipped open the book to
a certain page:
"Did you know that the gaseous content of the average flatulent is
equivalent to three ounces?" in all its exquisite detail and breakdowns.
I had to wonder about that...
