Some are interpreting that to mean that Andrew thinks 99% of technicalWhat depresses me is the literal-mindedness of many list members. Perhaps the reason is that they are responding in quick breaks from work, but many responses and threads seem to spring up because posters miss the hyperbole or sarcasm in a comment.
writers are incompetent or lazy and taking it as a personal insult.
As Eric Ray remarked, these techniques, while legitimate, aren't a very effective way to get your point across on this list.
