Here's a link where you can read or download the latest copy of "DocBook: The Definitive Guide" http://www.docbook.org/tdg/en/ it has been updated (or is the process of being updated) to include XML 4.2.

|
| Hi again,
|
| I'm using the latest DocBook DTD for XML (v4.2), but
| I'm using Norman Walsh's "DocBook: The Definitive
| Guide" (1999) to learn to use the DTD.
|
| I've come up against a problem that may be caused by
| advances in the DTD which occurred after the book was
| published.
|
| The book describes how to use entity declarations to
| build a book. First you declare the entities, then you
| refer to them (within a book element) using the
| statement &chapter1;
|
| This is causing validation errors in XMLSpy. Do you
| know the correct way to refer to the entity, so I can
| build my book?
|
| Thanks,
|
| Rowena
