RE: Tech writer/ Documentation Specialist

Due to a "mini" re-org in our department a few months ago, the technical
writers were to be given a brand spanking new title.  As a gesture of good
faith, it was left up to us, the technical writers, to determine what that
title should be.  We researched a variety of options and did find that
"documentation specialist" was too pared down compared to what we actually do
(testing, documenting, and providing support for mostly in-house systems).
Our suggestions were taken and our titles were bestowed.  Note: this title
was NOT on our list. We are, officially, the Application Data Support
Specialists.  In an organization that lives and dies by acronyms, we are
referred to as the ADSSs. You have no idea how thankful I am for that "D."
