Hey, we just started using personas... Product Management is very excited, and I have to admit the approach looks interesting, a way to solidify what exactly we're doing, and for whom. The only problem is that right now we have about 50 of them! They were developed here by a business analyst with extensive experience in the domain where our company operates, with input from others in position to know. I'm hoping to someday find out which of them I should be writing for. I just hope I don't need to do 50 manuals. :-)

I have been leaning toward the idea of personas--I believe that's Jared
Spool's concept. I've only read bits and pieces and need to do more
research into it. I have a small side project coming up to document some
open source software, and I think personas will fit very well for that
project. I'll also be tracking back through the threads on open source.
