http://www.countrycallingcodes.com/results.php is a good source where you
can enter a To and From country. Not only is the country code important, the
international dialling code is important too. For example, it is 011 from
the States and 00 from France. That is why, in Europe, telephone numbers are
written with a plus sign in front of the country code to let you know that
is a country code and you have to then use your own international dialling
code.
All the previous joking aside, this really does have a TW connection.
Usability, etc. Any kind of documentation listing contact telephone numbers
should be geared to potential international markets (help numbers to call,
online forms with fill-in fields, etc.) - if the company has any plans for
expanding and succeeding outside its home country. Programmers and database
designers must be aware of this when allocating space for telephone numbers.
A TW who works with them on user interface texts can help them in this area.
