My personal vision is up to date... that's why I thought it was absurd
to call me a librarian. I responded to a silly situation with a silly
stereotype. I thought that would be more effective than a brittle and
annoying defense of my credentials.
This is a thread about stereotypes, after all, not about professional
affirmation for everyone.
Actually the term 'Project Librarian' isn't about librarians at all...
it apparently comes from the Mythical Man-Month, where it describes the
person who does configuration management for the code. That's what
makes it even sillier -- I don't do that.
