Right-o Annamarie! Your comment reminds me of one manager who wanted me to
do some piece work for her. After about 4 telephone interviews and her
insistence I email her complete samples of my work before we met, I told her
"thanks, but no thanks"

Indecision at the interview process is a big red flag to me. There is
nothing worse than a manager who:

- commits you to every whim of a project manager
- does not have the backbone to say no
- fails to defend tech pub decisions that are criticized by non-tech pub
professionals

Meanwhile, pay attention to the interview process. My experience is
that the interview process is an excellent preview of the job. Can
you live with Indecision, being bounced between production managers..
maybe being told that a deadline is final, and then getting an
extension, and an extension and an extension...

Is this a company you want to work for?
