A font fondler, IMO, is someone who prefers to take
more time to make something look pretty than make sure
it's technically correct. This usually lends itself to
a barrage of typographical tweaking, or fondling, thus
"font fondler".
Someone not acting as a "font fondler" works within
the defined style and template set, and focuses on
accuracy of content primarily, allowing the template
and followed process to dictate how "pretty" the
deliverable is.
