The false premise with Andrew's argument is that the attempt is to make it
an objective list. That was never stated or intended. What is intended is
that:
1) You are open to being convinced one way or another, that you will discuss
your reasons civilly and like a grownup.
2) You discuss a topic based on it's merits, not on it's ability to elicit
emotional response.

Which makes it no less valid than this list. Membership here is determined
on
the judgment of one (Eric Ray). Here, strawmen arguments and stirring the
pot
with emotionally charged rhetoric and innuendo, and painting every argument
with
either black and white is accepted. John doesn't want that behaviour on his
list.
So be it. After all, argument style neither proves nor disproves
objectivity. Or
is anyone going to be foolish enough to step forward and take claim to being
the
objective voice of Techwr-L?
