Ramji,

This _should_ work. I have not tested it.

Decompile the .CHM into a directory of HTML files. You might even be able to use the index and TOC files if you turn them into HTML files, too. (Open them in a text editor. It's been a while, but if memory serves there isn't too much you would have to do to them aside from renaming; maybe you have to wrap them in a couple of standard tags or something.)

Put the directory on a Web site. This could be something within the scope of your Personal Web Server on your own machine. That is, the URL would start with localhost:\\

Open Acrobat.

File > Open Web Page

Navigate to the first page you want in the PDF, such as the TOC. In the Open Web Page dialog, select the "Download entire site" checkbox. Click OK.

That should give you a PDF of the entire Help hierarchy. If the pages are not in the order you want them, you can drag and drop in the Acrobat thumbnails pane.

Good luck.

Dick

Hi!
Is there a tool which converts .chm file to .pdf file without tampering with the bookmarks, hyperlinks, etc?
