Your deadlines are not merely your deadlines. They are
the project's deadlines, and are placed because there
is a dependency for the completion of the task. If you
do not get your reviews back by deadline, it's not you
who is at fault. You should be having regular status
meetings regarding the project, and at every meeting
after the revew deadline you should mention that you
still have not received all review copies back from
the appointed reviewers.
Some people think you need to use chololate or other
gifts to get what you need out of SMEs and reviewers.
That's all a load of crap. You need to stick to the
schedule and stick to the project needs. The project
requires the reviews be completed by X date, and let
the project show a slip when that date goes by and
reviews are still pending.
