Unless some of you can tell me how to network a Mac with other PCs, I just don't see a Mac in my crystal ball.
Connect Ethernet to all computers. Mac OS X can access SMB servers (e.g., local shares on PCs) out of the box. (There are simple solutions for Mac OS 9, as Craig and John have pointed out.) What more do you need?
