Technical courses were valuable, but it was probably all the
writing-intensive courses that made the greatest contribution to my
ability to enter a new situation, gather what needs to be understood,
and convey it effectively.
BTW, the problem-solving skills I developed during my years in the
trades go further than you might think.

For me it is a toss up between Cognitive Psychology
and Speed Reading.
