Re: Learn a new language
My question...has anyone ever made the effort to learn even a rudimentary
level of language used by your peers and if so, what was the effect on them
toward you?
My father was a Flying Tiger in Burma during World War II. Because he was a radio man, he often heard Chinese. After his 3-year gig, he spoke fluent Chinese. I don't know if it ever helped him in his carpentry career, but it impressed me!
