Subject:RE: Interviewing "under the hood"? From:Maggie Pierce Secara <maggiros -at- yahoo -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Mon, 23 Jun 2003 09:36:15 -0700 (PDT)
Never is a very long time. What I *used* to do and
what I do now aren't always the same. :-) Right now I
actually do have character styles for Bold and Italic,
and replaced the buttons on the toolbar so when I
click them they go to my styles--which I try to
remember to do instead of automatically hitting ctrl-i
or b.
But I wouldn't like to have to count up the times I
faked an effect just to get it right when Word decided
to be playful on deadline day. The only rule is
"whatever works".
I think we all determined a few threads ago that using
styles in your resume is a good way of showing that
you know how to use them. Doesn't have to be fancy;
just a noticeable absence of Normal will do.
