Subject:Re: Screen shots while installing OS? From:Cindy -dot- Metzger -at- Dukane -dot- spx -dot- com To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Tue, 24 Jun 2003 16:10:49 -0500
(Briefly emerging from lurkdom....)
I'm documenting the installation of a server. As part of the procedure,
the installer must use Dell's OpenManage software utility to set up the
hard drive and install the OS. A few of the OpenManage screens show
multiple settings, and rather than list each setting I want to show a
screen shot with the appropriate settings selected. Problem is, since
these screens appear before the OS is installed, I've got no SnagIT, no
Windows clipboard, no Paint, no nothing to capture and save the screen
shots.
I could have sworn this subject was discussed on the list recently, but I
haven't been able to find it in the archives. Does anyone else remember
this thread? Does anyone know of a solution?
Many thanks in advance,
Cindy
