A degree, in and of itself, won't automatically instill the
desire/need/compulsion to question, assuming it's not already there. But
what it can do is inform one of the benefits and risks of asking
questions, as well as teach one how and when to ask them. Those who find
that element of significant value (i.e., the benefit of asking questions
outweighs the risks in doing so) may be more likely to question as they
venture on in their lives, and those who think it's all a load of crap may
be more likely to find satisfaction in the status quo.
The point being, whether anyone agrees that this sort of "juvenile"
behavior is innate or learned, it's ultimately up to the individual to act
on it.

I'd never heard of technical writing. Isn't this what we do? Will a
college
degree give you this?
