This brings up my favorite Stupid Acrobat Trick: Double distilling. This
simply involves opening a PDF file in Acrobat and printing it to the Acrobat
Distiller. Voila! (or, if you prefer, Cello!) A new PDF file. I haven't
tried this to see if Acrobat cleverly manages to retain security settings
across such tricks, but it would be worth a try.
