You're looking for a service bureau that does digital color printing. Typically the machines use digital color copier technology, which differs in subtle ways from office color laser printer technology and produces more consistent and more offset-like results. Kinkos, AlphaGraphics, and other chains--as well as any number of independent local providers--can do what you need. Note that the cost per copy for this short-run work is significantly higher than the cost for long-run offset, so don't be shocked by a quote of a little less than a dollar a sheet for two-sided color flyers.

Does anyone know of a good technology for printing very short runs of
glossy, full-color, single-sheet flyers? I'm thinking in terms of 100
copies or so. Ideally, it would be hard to tell from something
offset-printed.

Either a type of printer or a print service that would accept PDF uploads
and ship by overnight express would be good.

Generic ink-jet printers don't have the sharpness I'm looking for.
