I have read with interest the various attempts to read the future through
the omens and portent's of a recruiter's actions. As a parlor game, it has
some merit. But there's not much point in deciding things on the basis of
woefully inadequate information when one can quickly assemble information
that is merely bad.

In short, the time to turn down a job is after it's been offered to you.
