I'm not sure I understand the question....you have a RoboHelp project, but
you are working with Word files? So these are files that haven't been put
into the RoboHelp project yet....I'm not sure why you have a compatibility
issue with RoboHelp. Is it that you have to update Word files and the
RoboHelp project and you are looking for something that will do it all in
one fell swoop?
I think I'd just do a macro in Word.

Subject: Multiple file global replace/RoboHelpX4/WinHelp4
Hello,
I am new to this list serv, but have a question.
I am working on a project to convert a RoboHelp project from English for
the UK to English for North America. This means I need to do quite a
few global find and replaces (e.g. change the spelling of 'enquiry' to
'inquiry').
Does anyone know of a utility that will search through multiple files &
do the find/replace function easily, that is compatible with RoboHelp?
I know about the Multi-file Find & Replace function in RoboHelp - but it
only works on text & HTML files. I am working in MS Word.
