Bonnie Granat asked for hints or pointers to help about indexing an HTML Help (.chm) file, and says she has Microsoft HTML Help Workshop.

Bonnie, in addition to HTML Help Workshop, you might consider an inexpensive (US$49) program called "FAR" which I understand has more (or at least easier) functionality regarding indexes, ToCs, etc for HTML Help than the Help Workshop has. I haven't used the program for indexing. I use it for complex find-and-replace actions over whole directories of files.

I have no association with this product except as a very happy user of the find-and-replace functions. BTW, you can evaluate it for 8 weeks before you need to pay, so you can find out if it really will help you.
